Holiday Saga pt 1

The 3rd day of my holiday had officially ended, I feel a bit tensed now. How come time flies when I'm home but moves like a stinking snail when I'm in Inti? So not fair! 3 days down and I haven't done much.

Talking bout doing much... oh boy... I haven't start hitting the books, assignments and reports which would be due first day of school. Sighh...

To wrap it up, what exactly have I done these 3 lightning days??

Friday, landed in Kuching at approximately 5.30pm. Dad picked me up as usual then reach home. Just chit chat with mum,dad, and sis till about 8.30 when I went out with him. Movies and basically just car ride all randomly. See, Kuching has really limited nice places to go or so we think. hehe... After movies, he sent me home and day 1 gone.

Saturday, lil Annie kept bugging me to wake up to go Spring with her. But I did not though. Slept till slightly pass 12pm. What a waste of time, I know. He picked me up for brunch and guessed where?? hehehee.... Causeway Bay Hong Kong Restaurant.. the place with my favorite tongue-swallowing spaghetti. Yummy yum yum! He then sent me to Spring to meet my sister,mum,aunt,uncle,and cousins there. haha... And he needs to do something in Spring too. After that, errmm.... didn't do much... just laze on my favorite sofa and stare at the tv like nobody's business. I was deprived of tv ok. (>.<) Sayonara Day 2.

Today, Sunday..... Ermm....woke up pretty late again. Once again, Ann bugged me;she asked me to go shopping with her. At around 2, we went to shop. Most interesting of all, my dad tagged along. hahaha... that was really weird. My dad is super anti-shopping. haha... but it was fun. Asked him for his opinions and all. hehe... was cool.. Bought a couple of stuff, delighted. Then, I finally went to the salon to give my hair her fair share of attention. So, sat there for nearly 2.5 hours and then voila, ready to leave. Added some color, trimming and treatment for me poor abandoned hair. Then, daddy picked me up to Spring and after walking around with Ann a while, he picked me up and we went Westwood for dinner and McD for dessert. Then, home... webcam with Bel and Emily just now. Miss them both. Day 3, over. Ain't that fast?? Tsk tsk tsk...

I have bangs now. =)

Finally seeing all my besties tomorrow. Joy!

GONG YOO DIED??!!

This morning, while I was still slothfully slumbering, I received a phone call from Bel and she told me something that got me fully awake and extremely taken aback. She asked me who was the guy that Ivanna likes a lot in Coffee Prince? I replied Gong Yoo. Then, she told me Gong Yoo died. =0!! @.@ ='( I was so baffled upon hearing the news. How could he die?? He's so young. And indisputably gorgeously hot. hehe.. ok...that has nothing to do with "how could he die,I know". But still! (>.<)

Disavowal, I went online to check and gladly, it's UNTRUE! hehe.. Relieved. But actually, his co-star, Lee Eon in Coffee Prince died. Really a pity for this guy but I must admit, I was happy Gong Yoo is alive and serving his mandatory military service.

His friend, Lee Eon, passed away in a motorcycle accident when he was on his way home after the wrap party for KBS’s "Strongest Chil Woo" early on the morning of August 21. He ran into the guardrail of the overpass, and is said to have died almost immediately. I guess "Strongest Chil Woo" was some drama he was shooting. Forgive me if I'm wrong. But he was said to have been on-screen for the finale of Chil Woo just the night before; hence, the party the day after prior to his accident. Wooshhh.that party was like his farewell party.He's only 27 years old. Too young! Too young! Really disheartening. He was an up and rising star; he was on his way to the zenith of his stardom. Awwhhh... pity this guy....

That's Lee Eon

This really strikes me. Life is really unpredictable and can be really short. The possible daily vicissitudes simply add that much more to life's unpredictability. I'm scared. I always use the terms "I'm gonna die", "I'm so dead", "I can just die now", "just let me die", "kill me" so on so forth whenever I face certain somethings even little obstacles probably because I'm too used to it and especially prior to exams..hahaha... which he detests to the core. haha..He always tells me to stop saying such stuff. hehe.. but I never actually once meant or thought through that. I don't want to die now. I'm too young. So much more I want to do in life. Like eating more chocolate ice-creams and spaghetti. haha..just kidding,people. I do have my goals. =)

Anyways, I love my life! Everyone should. We get to lead this life of ours just once. Freaking scary.

Home Sweet Home

As you can tell from my undisputed cliche title, I'm finally home! hehe... Am supremely elated.

But my airport experience just now was plain blood-boiling. Goodness. LCCT really lack professional control. They should know the airport's going to be dead packed since it's festive season now so they should actually come up with certain plans or have certain people to get passengers in order. The entire check-in area was so cramp and walking to designated counter was really half the battle. And at the counter, there wasn't any proper queue. People formed multiple queues at a counter and at the place I was queuing, there were others who formed more strands of queue and tried to overtook one another. Gosh... selfish!! Pissed, I moved to some other strands of queue which eventually was pretty fast because I guess that particular queue was the supposedly legitimate one?? So, yeap.. I got to check-in faster than those immoral people who doesn't know how to queue but even though I mentioned faster, I queued for around an hour and a half.I did not go to the airport late, mind you. I reached an hour and 50 minutes before departure. By the time I checked in, there were still a whole bunch of people behind me. The flight was supposed to take off at 12.55 and I only managed to check in at 12.35 or so. So, whatever it is, they still had to get all their "patient" passengers checked in so only at 2 something the plane took off. And they told us to board the plane at 12 something. But at the end of the day, I think the blame goes to Air Asia. They allegedly claim they had some system problems so the check-in counter only opened at 11.30+am instead of its 2-hour before departure usuals. And they should have someone to actually get passengers to queue up properly. The whole check-in area was seriously in a complete mess. I was pretty surprised that nobody went tumultuous. Because, usually foreigners appreciate and emphasize efficiency but the situation just now was far from what labeled efficient. I saw a few grimaced caucasians and was silently hoping they would say complain or something. haha...

But anyhoo, I'm back home. Pinched Annie's cheeks already;lay on my bed already; sat on dad's tummy already;I'm very happy to be back home. Seeing him tonight. Euphoric. haha...

Errmm..

Was a little late for calculus class this afternoon so missed out what lecturer said in the beginning. So, only at the end of class......I found out that calculus test was POSTPONED to after holidays. Hrrmmpphh... part of me is happy... the other part just wants to get the test done and over with fast. GrrRr... hate this sort of ambivalence. (>.<)

My biology quiz is postponed as well but for me and my roommate only because we both are flying back home early and not in time to sit for the quiz. haha... Thank goodness. hehe.. I don't know anything bout the 4 chapters yet. But on the other hand, this means there's going to be lots to study during holidays. *sobbbb* Hope I'll have the will and time to study.

As for now, there's only one final work that is awaiting completion. It's my weekly biology report but of all the week's, this one is the most tedious and lengthy one and it's going to be one crappy verbose report. Words would be pouring in packly in a few pages since there are so many questions and they require proper considerably detailed explanation. -_-" feel so lazy...

But after that, I'm going home! The countdown is reaching an end. hiaks hiaks hiaks... Oh dear, you seriously have no idea how eager I am to go home. I miss everyone back home. Can't wait to get back and pinch lil Annie,Iva and Tyler's cheeks. ohohohoho...

Calculus

I'm going back home this Friday!!!! Can't wait can't wait.. zee-pe-dee-doo-da-zee-pe-dee-day... my oh my what a wonderful day.... *wink wink*

But then right............................................. I have to surmount this certain snag I call calculus. haha... I'm having my calculus test which accounts 25% into my final score this Wednesday.

For those who know me well, haha.... you know there's no like-mindedness between math and I. I tried to love math but I'm left dejected because math rejected my sincerity... haha... bullcrap!

I really revere those who ace in maths.. My little dear friend, Michelle Lee is super adorable because she's so petite and she is impeccably superb in maths... *Lynnie's so envious* hehehe....

Oh well... I just got to break two legs in this exam... haha...

Friday's Night Market

Forgive me if I'm wrong but I guess night market's one of Malaysia's unique attraction?? Is it? haha..I'm no jingo,chauvinist,nationalist whatever u call it...I don't know much bout my country...I don't even know much bout local delicacies.. Oh how I despise people asking me "What's locally delectable in Sarawak?"...hahah.. *blush blush*...I don't know... I like Western fat-filled food...Sue me...(>.<) hehe..

Anyhoooo,there's a weekly night market here in Nilai area... precisely every Friday... It never strike my mind to go... I hate markets from the crowd to the smell... Markets usually reeks of abominable-freshly-killed-animals.. all the dead chicken n fish... eeyyerr...

But life here is getting a tad stodgy... While we were on our way down Shakespeare's stairs, Fatin suddenly suggested we go to the "pasar malam"... Since it was so bored...so we went...

It's actually pretty ok and fun cause it's kinda like a mini night market so there weren't many slaughtered animals so the smell is ok... And they have bubble milk tea...Lynn loves!

I so wanted to buy oranges but luckily I did not...cause we travel by bus...it was so crowded and the greedy bus driver still kept taking up passengers...there was barely enough air to breathe.. so,it'd be hard having to carry stuff and stand in a recklessly moving bus.

Apogee apogee apogee was when I saw a ...COW!! pretty up close...hahaha... this could be where you start rolling your eyes and call me an numbskulled "sakai"... hahahahaha....

Forgive me laaaa... In Kuching or shall I surmise that the whole of Sarawak seriously have no freely loitering cows anywhere in the town or city... and yes,I've seen cows before... preserved ones in the museum and when travelling in places like China but that's just seeing them from afar.. This time it's kinda close.. it's a petite cow..haha... exhilarated I am!! hehe...

Lantern Festival...

Last night... there was a little lantern festival going on... well, isn't exactly as it sounds,playing lantern and all..

Basically just foods and drinks which are not so often available in school are found that night.. oh yea..games too...

I missed this year's Kuching Fest... and Kuching Fest usually got nice unique food... I like the Taiwan sausage in Kch Fest... compensated my loss last night... but the Taiwan blackpepper sausage in Kch Fest is nicer though.. had bubble milk tea too which used to be like a frequent thing when I was in Kuching...

Aww... I still remember Joanne would always help us buy pearl milk tea before Chemistry tuition on Wednesdays... missed those times... goshh...

9 days and counting...

I have errrmmm... 9 more days here then it'll be term break cum Hari Raya break... Can't wait can't wait... it'll be a ten-day break.... And best of all... this time.... my bestfriends would be in Kuching too except Ivanna... who'll be flying to Russia this Monday to pursue medicine... I haven't seen her for quite some time already and if I don't get to see her before she leave, I'd only see her mid next year..that's soooooo long.... She'll be missing me too much already by then...so,I shouldn't torture her.. hahha...actually the other way round more so..

Oh oh oh!!! There's so much I wanna do when I get back.... Definitely gonna go visit Aixora during Raya... it's an annual routine that Isabel and I help out at her house during Raya... since I don't really know how to do much work... they usually give me task like arranging cakes or fruits and pouring drinks and all.. Isabel would sometimes do the dishes...hehehe.. But, not sure if this year, both Bel and I would go help out the whole day or not.. cause our holidays are considerably short and there's so many things we wanna do...

I need to get my hair attended... ever since I got here, I became so ..sighh.... ignorant of how I look...getting more and more haggard by the day with the increasing intensity of dark rings.. and I think I'm getting darker... walk freaking a lot everyday together with the faithful companionship of our much needed unrelenting sun...from Shakespeare block, any destination around campus would be a trudge... gahh...

And and and... I must go shopping with Isabel, my 2nd favorite shopping partner after my mum.. Ann,ure 2nd too....hehe...

Rushy Rushy Day

Oh dear... Tomorrow's my ENL presentation and I've done nothing yet... And it's not like I was ever a good spontaneous presentator... Goshh.. I suck at presentation... my shyness and stage fright (though it's just gonna be in front of the class,no stage) takes the better of me all the time... Haha.. I've got all the info just gotta put them into slides and find some pictures. My group's presentation is about Dating,Girls' Perspective... muahaha... interesting interesting..

Woke up pretty late as usual; it's a Sunday...I could have slept longer but just gotta drag my sluggish self up to work on the presentation stuff cause knowing me,I love procrastinating. I can never be the type that wake up,freshen up and then straight away pounce onto work... I have to do other menial entertaining stuffs like chatting,music so on first before touching serious work. Shortage of time instilled the idea of locking myself in my tiny room the whole day so I don't go wandering to other's room so, I ordered pizza to be my late brunch and early dinner... Nothing else to eat already... either McD or Pizza.. pretty saddening... =(My exorbitant in fats driving dynamo for today..

Until a certain cow from Johor came surprising me in my room... Fatin's back!! She went back home for the weekends.. not fair right?? West Malaysians here go back really often during weekends.. Pitiful me can only muse... haha..actually,it's not all that bad... but I just love whining to my parents regarding my zillion misses for home...so they'll be sympathetic towards me and treat me like a princess when I'm back...muahahhaa... but hey, it really works! *grin* I love me moomie and doodie.. =D

Anyway back to the story, I would never have peace when Fatin,my boisterous sprightly cow is here... When I see her, I just have the inclination to talk and play with her.. haha.. I attack her verbally but she responds physically... She's brutal!!! hahahhaha.... She pinches me till I get really bad bruise... She pinches my cheeks real hard... (sorry annie..now I know how u feel but I'll still continue pinching you when I get back.. hehe)... she kicks me...sigh..the list goes on... I wonder if she'll kill me when she reads this post.. haha

Ed Westwick @ Chuck Bass

I've a deep infatuation for Ed Westwick.... the guy that played the character Chuck Bass in Gossip Girl. how ho?? head over heels...hahaha... My darling friend, Emily Chee who happens to share the same birthday as me and somehow the same fate with me here, loves Ed Westwick too. Ivanna loves him too. Awhhh...oh boy,Chuck is so lovable. For those who are about to watch, u'll hate and find Chuck repulsive in the beginning... but as you move on to later episodes, you'll be mesmerized by Chuck's ingenuity in helping his friends solve their problems. He's a genius to be able to play an obnoxious character but make people like him.. He has this ermm... extremely charismatic attitude...don't know how to describe la.. but really wWOOooooOOo...hehe haha lala...

Gossip Girl

OOOoooOOO LaLA..... I'm addicted to Gossip Girl... HAha... Yup, I'm pretty outdated I know for only realizing the catchiness of Gossip Girl... never thought it would be that nice until I got it from Tzin Yee, movie supplier here in Inti.. OOOOOO...it's nice nice! Chace Crawford is haaawwtttt!! hehe....

I think Chuck is the most appealing character though he's not really that handsome... hahah...he has the super devious-impish look... although he's a major playboy, he seems like a pretty good friend... always ready to help his friends with his dark ways.. pretty cool... But the funny thing is.... all of them are supposedly 17 years old (Form 5) but they look so mature... haha... But they're all like targetting and emphasizing on Ivy League.. so cool... I want too but dishearteningly... I don't have the capability.. boo-hoo-hoo.... Chace Crawford... *droolzZz*

From a sociology's point of view...hahahaha.... social inequality is widely displayed in Gossip Girl.. hahha...I'm going insane... Too much of Socio...hate it!! Just had Sociology mid-term exam few days ago... it was difficult and it accounts for 30% in final score.. damn freaky... @.@

Anyhoo,Emily told me that Tzin Yee has season 2 already... I want I want but then goshh.. I've tonnes of work in my hands now... Biology assignment given 2 weeks ago and the due date's this Monday, I just started working on it last night.. hehe... And English presentation's this monday... preparation=nil.... hahaha...

SUPP dinner

Last friday,29th august 2008, there was a dinner organized by SUPP for us sarawakians. I was excited to go chiefly because i get to meet up with my a few friends from back home. One if my bestfriends,Aixora, went too of course!! Most excited to see her. We have so much to catch up. All our stories and as coincidental as it may seem, we both encountered a more or less similar situation with people. Goshh!! the horror the horror..

we sat together...talk and laugh the entire night away. We sat at the table together with 4 adults. and why is that important? u'll find out soon.. hahaha..

The apogee of the whole event which i like to so called proclaim is the part where the man sitting next to xora (there was actually an empty seat in between them) was errrmm...sending some awkward vibe around..well,to aixora at least.. the man starts interrogating her.. start of with her name to her race and to her parents' name,occupation so on so forth.. And the man, not sure if it was a "fatherly gesture" or something else, kept taking food and placing it on aixora's plate.. hahha... it might not sound weird when u read but if u were there, it was pretty awkward. Aixora kept facing towards me;subtly smiling saying "lynn,come on talk to me...talk to me.." hahaha..

Then we told walter about it and asked him to fill up the empty seat to somehow create a barrier between the man n aixora. haha...and guess what.. The man stood up to get food for aixora and place in on her plate. The 3 of us break into errmm... unconspicuous laughter or so we thought.. then the man like cover up a little by taking food for me and the girl sitting beside me. haha... funny...

all in all, it was a fun night.. i really miss my bestfriends from home... cant wait till raya holidays for us all to gather up and "spewing" our stories... haha.. i really miss our daily laughters back when we were in secondary school.. ahhh....what a sentiment it was...
