Butterfly butterfly...

There was a rather big butterfly that paid my house a visit today. Actually the biggest butterfly I've seen apart from those I see in the museums..Or maybe it's just me trapped in my house too much till I'm shut from the outside world.. haha...My dad saw it on the banana plant planted at the side of my house. And you know they say banana plants attract spirits and you know older chinese generation tend to say when a big butterfly/moth visits,it's actually your ancestors.... LOL... but then it wasn't a very pretty butterfly though.. Then my dad shook the leave and the poor thing fell into the drain as it kinda fail to fly... Then my smart dad tells me..."don't worry...it's old already"... wth...haha... Then he used a rake trying to provoke it or something so it'll fly.. It tried but it struggled... Then my dad moved on by using a broom this time...failed... Then he used a sickle to scoop it up and bring it to the garden for it to fly... Somehow,the butterfly flew towards him and my dad ran..hahaha... the scene was pretty hilarious..His hand hit the pipe thingy while running directionless and it got scratched....hahha.. My dad's funny and stupid sometimes but I love him...hahaha....

Recap of 2008 so far part 2

Continuing my story.. muahaha....

Holidays was boring as some friends were in National Service so could not hang out so often.. Isabel and I decided to get a part time job... So we went Spring to see which shop has vacancy. At first we went to "Nose" and we got the job but then we were kinda turn off after listening to the rules.
1) working hours is from 9.30am to 10pm
2) sitting is FORBIDDEN
3) eating sweets or whatsoever is prohibited
4) must wear all black
5) must wear flat shoes but from Nose only(not provided by them)
6) salary per month is RM 500 ONLY...
7) need to have a maybank account

That was kinda crazy to us... it's like hard labour man! But we accepted too at first... Then we just walk around spring and met two of our schoolmates,Sherilyn and April. They were working in one of the small set-up-stores and they introduced us a shop that has vacancy. It was "Denim Shop". So we went there and ask and we got the job.

We started working the very next day. Nervous at first cause my socializing skills is BAD like really bad and I had to sell stuff...goodness...and my mandarin is as bad...hahaha... Was awkward at first but then ok after a while but Isabel was no doubt a better sales promoter than I was cause she's so bubbly and can speak good mandarin...She helped me a lot too with folding the shirt and jeans...haahaha... The owners of the shop are so nice!! It's a family business thing. We have 4 bosses which is the whole family... Big boss and wife together with his 2 sons. They were all friendly... The sons are not that bad looking.. to me at least.. hahahah....The 2 sons have other jobs but once in a while they'll come to the shop to help out a little especially the few weeks before Chinese New Year when business was really good. The first son had really nice physique..broad shoulders and slightly toned biceps and tall but unfortunately he's dark..He's really nice and frienly however. The second son is slightly shorter,smaller size but fair..At first, he seem kinda cold and quiet but after a while...he's a friendly chatterbox too... But the 1st one is more gentleman...my point of view la...hahah... The bosses are all linient..we can sit when there's no customers and eat sweets during work... Isabel and I play and joke around quite a lot during work...it was all fun but really tiring when we first started. Oh yea,my "favourite" part of work is MOPPING!! hahhaa... crap man... I never mopped my entire life and on my 2nd day of work.. Boss wife ask me mop the floor... I went @.@ hahaha... so I went to the toilet to get water and all...I called Isabel in the toilet asking her how to get water cause the special room to get water was locked. GRrRRRrr!! Then she came to the toilet to help me..haha... I love her... So,just simply mop the floor after that.. haha...There was this other sales promoter too.. Her name is Nora,currently studying in Swinburne.. She's super nice and friendly too...helped me a lot too with folding clothes...hehe..hate folding clothes and cleaning.. hmph! When got first salary,it was such a happy moment.. I've money for shopping... fun fun fun... Working made me realise that money is so hard to earn... -_-" I stopped working on 2nd March cause SPM results were coming out soon... Ever since,I'm just being a bummer lazing at home doing nothing beneficial.. But I'm enjoying the very relaxed life.. hehehe...

Oh yea...did i mention that the shop was FREEZING cold.. Not exaggerating...it was really really really cold... torturous it was... There wasn't a single day that we did not say "it's so cold".. haha... A friend working next door came to the rescue... he helped close one of the aircond...That is Bernard...courageous I must say..I would not have the guts to climb so high and attend to my phone at the same time eventhough I'm not acrophobic.

My dearest friend,Michelle Tok celebrated her 18th birthday tonight at Mr Ho's. It was fun seeing a few close friends again. Had not been keeping in touch with friends lately... Quite a few are already studying else where and more are leaving soon. Sad to see friends leave one by one and I'm still stuck here in Kuching not knowing my path. Gosh.. Kinda scared... hahah.... But I'll know my path in probably 2 to 3 weeks time... hahah... Anyway,it was fun seeing friends again. Don't have any pictures at the moment.. Will upload them as soon as i grab them. Tata..

Recap of 2008 so far part 1....

Alright...I shall start my first post (excluding the intro post) by being an old nanny flashing back at what I had done so far this lovely year. hehe...

The very beginning of new year 2008, I was at Mojo counting down. Don't jump to conclusion just yet...I'm not the typical clubbing girl... It was my first time at such place and friends planned to celebrate new year there so I just went to experience the supposedly "happening" atmosphere... I went there rather late as I was with my brother and his friend at Bing for some drinks (non-alcoholic drink btw).. Then,he dropped me at Soho and left after I was with my friends. It was raining so heavily that night but friends decided to change venue..from Soho to Mojo which is somehow across the street.. so we were drenched and cold upon reaching mojo..Nothing much interesting happen there... When it was 12am... we gave each other hugs and new year wishes and went to McDonalds where Aixora(friend who was at National Service) called telling us how she counted down for new year but I can't seem to remember..hehe..sorry.. and that was the end. haha...Don't have pics of that night though...ohh well.. clubbing was a wonderful experience but not really something I like at least for now.. hehe.. The rest of the days were usual....wake up..tv...comp...eat..sleep.. that's basically my daily routine...boring many say but I'm fine with it or maybe just very used to it though I complain how boring it is pretty much everyday...heheh...

The next interesting thing was the opening of "The Spring" on 10th January 2008 which everyone was saying it's gonna be the best and biggest shopping mall in Kuching...however,it's true...hahah poor Kuching sounds so outdated in modernization.. shopping malls in town became so isolated...aWWwwhhh.... but that's life right? If you're not good enough to compete and stand out,you're gonna be left out... That's part of Spring when there are quite a number of shoppers... It has been more than 3months since its opening and it is now rather quiet too especially during weekdays.. You can actually count the number of people with 2 hands.. but weekends,it's doing pretty well... Oh my favourite shop at The Spring now is Big Apple... Yummy yummy yummy donuts.. My favourite donut is 'The Alien'. It's so chocolatey... *drools*

Enough said bout The Spring..nothing much interesting there but it's definitely the best shopping mall we have in Kuching..


I never knew blogging could be so tiring but apparently it is time consuming and it helps overcome boredom...yayness!! hahahha... My story telling resumes tomorrow... Muaks!
