I'll be Eternally Grateful

Oh God,thank you so so so so so much for your blessings... I'm so grateful for what you've given me although it may not necessarily be what I had in mind but I know you'll guide me to the best path there is for me...

I'm gonna summarize a few events that happened to me me this year which I want to cherish now and in the future... =D

I would say since the beginning of this joyous new year 2008 up till yesterday,I've gone through so much bliss and disappointment...I squabbled with my parents heaps and most of the time,it's regarding my tertiary education.

Before I got my SPM results,I quarreled so much with my dad because I,being the ever so greedy person that I am want to study in good school and preferably overseas but I know the cost would be so high..way beyond my parent's capability..In addition,I aspire to be a pharmacist and pharmacist alone..No other options... And there's no foreign uni in Malaysia that offers full pharmacy course here... My dad always ask me to be more flexible and consider something else..Hard headed stubborn me neglected to do so..muahaha...Then my dad would go,"since you want so much how come don't want study properly in the first place then there'd still be chance for scholarship"....sad sad time that was because it never occur to me that I'll be able to obtain good enough results for scholarship applications.. I'm always lack of confidence and I wasn't the cream of the crop in school anyway...Up till the day before SPM results were released, when my dad was sending me to Ivanna's house,we quarreled over this issue again... haha.. it seems funny now...

The day when SPM results were released,I decided to go school an hour after the official results release time because I don't want to be in tears in front of so many people.. But my dad, being a normal concern-filled father couldn't handle the pressure of not knowing results.. He was so much more anxious than I was...So,he rang up my principal while I was getting ready to go school*roll eyes* (p/s:When PMR results were released,he went to school before the official time to ask for my results..that's just my dad la.. he's like that..=p) My principal then called my dad back to inform him my results.... He was overjoyed!! I could sense his bliss through his voice... I was completely in cloud 9,10,100 whatever that time...But after thinking a while, the surreal thought went through his mind....so he again called my school to reconfirm..haha...Then the friendly pak cik called him back to tell him...Ahhh...that time he was in total comfort.. I told him I wanna tell mum myself but he wouldn't let me cause he wanna tell her himself... -_-" 12th March 2008 was superbly amazing! Everyone in the family was so happy...yay!!

But then!!! The real headache and heartache was just about to march forward... Applied for all the scholarships that I saw and thought I'd be interested in... all in all,I applied 6 but to my utmost dismay,I only got called for JPA interview. The rejection was painful. ='(

The long wait for JPA results was nerve-wrecking as well... was in so much anxiety and fear.. only to find out I was REJECTED for pharmacy... Oh how I cried day and night till I have the sexiest goldfishy eyes... lol... Don't laugh...it was kinda the only opportunity I can get to study overseas without having my parents suffer so much financially.. hmph.. That was just errmm.. around 2 weeks+ ago..

So,like most rejects would do...appeal lo...try all there is to get it..desperate? Absolutely! Need to write some 500-character-long reasons so yeah,I did that... Went to cry some more after that...

And today,we finally got the appeal results... And...and..and... *drum rolls* I GOT IT!! OMG!! My sis was next to me when I was keying in my I.C. number.. I was shaking...haha... Was scared to see the "Dukacita" or "Maaf" word which I saw the last time...My sis was saying "don't have then don't have la.."haha...The first word she saw was "Amerika Syarikat" and was so happy for me..LOL...I was so so so so so so happy to see the "TAHNIAH" word but then when looking at the course they gave me... It's not pharmacy but SCIENCE... Was still happy then cause I don't really know what Science would lead me to and it didn't sound that bad and I'd be pursuing my science degree in U.S.A. so guess it's not that bad though it's kinda errmm unsafe there..suicide bombings, massacre, hurricane and all... Still in bliss until dad called his friend to ask him what career prospects would one have with that degree and the friend said "Lecturing".. I went@_@ *jaws drop* Oh my my... I'm no lecturer material... So,sad a while but I'm still very grateful yea...

Then mum told me that lecturing isn't that bad and all... So i'm kinda ok with it... Maybe God has His own plans for me.. I'll just hold tight onto Him.. =D Thank you thank you thank you dear God for this wonderful opportunity...

During this harsh period,my parents were always here for me...helping me feel better and I realise how amazing, wonderful, magnificent, loving, caring, responsible they are... I love my family lotsies.... MuuAaakkSSs!! I've learn a whole lot of life lessons from these few experiences too.. =) I'm so grateful and contented now...
